The Search and Challenges of Setting Up the New Office

Embarking on a journey to find the perfect office space was no cakewalk. Here, we shed light on the hurdles faced and how they were maneuvered.

Turbulence in Office Hunting:

While scouting for the perfect space, around four potential sites were explored. I, W. Yusuf R, navigated through approximately 15 contacts, continuously comparing potential venues. One notable interaction with Mr. D showcased the complexities of this process, which can be viewed in the provided screenshot: “Challenges with the Puri Majapahit Office.

The Final Choice – Graha Fatro 3:

After much consideration and research, an office owned by Mr. Kamto emerged as the best fit, providing the right ambiance without significant hurdles.

 

Refurbishing the Space

An office might be procured, but the journey doesn’t end there. The transformation of Mr. Kamto’s property into a work-friendly environment was another challenge in itself.

Mending and Organizing:

Initial inspections showed that the property wasn’t immediately habitable. There were plumbing issues, cleanliness concerns, and an unkempt backyard. Thanks to the unwavering support and hard work of colleagues like Revaizal, Densa, and Husein, the office was given a complete makeover.

 

Crafting The Ideal Workspace

Every successful office space reflects a vision, passion, and the countless efforts put into making it functional and welcoming. The transformation of our office was no different.

From garden cleanups to meticulous furniture choices, each step was an essential piece of the puzzle. Dive into the intricate details of this transformation and learn about the thought processes and decisions that went into creating our very first functional workspace.

The space was neat, but for it to resonate with our spirit and operational needs, several refinements were indispensable.

Garden Makeover:

The office’s backyard, which previously housed a towering mound of soil, underwent a thorough cleanup. Thanks to a skilled gardener’s expertise, the entire space was spruced up, all at a reasonable cost of IDR 100,000.

Economical Desk Acquisitions:

Quality without breaking the bank was my guiding principle. While typical desks ranged between IDR 350,000 to IDR 500,000, I scouted for second-hand desks, striking a deal at IDR 150,000 each. Not only were they cost-effective, but their sizable structure and pristine condition were a steal.

Homely Contributions:

The essence of an office isn’t just in its professional outlook but the comfort it provides. I generously contributed items from my residence in Kudus, including a cabinet and a bed, to enhance the office’s ambiance.

Security First – CCTV Installation:

With the rising concerns about thefts in the vicinity, as informed by Mr. Hengky from our neighborhood, CCTV cameras became essential. While professional installations could escalate costs, my knack for setting up CCTVs came in handy, ensuring top-notch security without heavy expenses.

Other Essential Add-ons:

The foundation of a functional workspace lies in the details. From efficient cable management, WiFi and landline phone setup, optimal lighting solutions, to additional furniture procurement, every aspect was meticulously attended to.

 

The Office Comes to Life

After numerous adjustments and relentless dedication, our first office emerged, embodying our vision and passion. This monumental transformation culminated on September 12, 2017, with an inauguration ceremony.
